A WAREHAM pub has raised £1,650 through a host of fundraising events towards a little girl's life changing operation.

The Silent Woman Pub, on Bere Road near Wareham Forest, which is owned by Denise and Richard Bell, held a murder mystery night, Christmas-themed quiz, Christmas present wrapping night, hamper raffle and other raffles in aid of three-year-old, Roxy Berry.

Denise and Richard have pledged to Roxy's parents, Gina and Colin and her twin sister, Willow, to continue fundraising for the little girl, who has Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy.

Roxy needs a £50,000 operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) to give her a chance of walking unaided.

Roxy's mum, Gina, said: “Thank you to Denise and Richard and to everyone who has donated or is in the process of doing an event for Roxy.

“I am pleased to say that we are now at £21,000 towards Roxy's total amount.”

A concert is being held for Roxy on Saturday, April 11, at 7.30pm at Lady St Mary Church, as organised by Wareham Town Band and the Lions Club of Wareham.
