TEN acts will take to the stage this weekend in a bid to win this year’s Dorset Got Talent competition.

Based on its national television show equivalent, the Echo-backed talent show will host its grand finale on Saturday at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park at 7.15pm.

More than 60 acts of all performing arts entered the charity competition, which was whittled down to 20 for the semi-finals, before the final 10 made the cut to appear at this year’s final.

As well as a hunt for the county’s top talent, the show also raises money for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, with all proceeds going to the charity following the event.

Matt Smith, fundraising manager at the charity, said “The final this Saturday is going to amazing.

“The standard of acts this year is at an all-time high and we’ve got a few surprises in store to ensure it is a fantastic event.”

This Saturday acts such as musicians, singers, dancers, theatrical performances and gymnasts will take to the stage at the holiday park and perform to both the panel of judges and the voting audience.

The winner of the competition will solely be decided by the audience vote.

Just like on Britain’s Got Talent, audience members will pay for their votes at £1.00 each, of which all of the money raised will be donated to Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.

The winner of this year’s competition will walk away with £500 cash donated by the Hive Beach Café, a family holiday at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park and a guaranteed performance at the Dorset 2015 Festival to around 5,000 people.

Tickets for the Grand Final are available to purchase on the door from 6pm on Saturday at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, Burton Bradstock.

The finalists are Amelia Hartley Baker, Greenford Girls, Amelia Smith, Carissa Berry, The U.K.E’s, Emma Rice, Lillie Cake, Makeda Downes, Julio Guarita (Wild Card) and Daisy Wardle (Wild Card) and there will also be some special-guest performances.
