Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire in Charmouth last night.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 11.25pm alerting them to a vehicle fire on Axminster Road in Charmouth.
One crew of firefighters from Charmouth Fire Station attended to extinguish the fire.
Upon arrival the crew found a vehicle on the roadway that was well alight.
Two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus were used by firefighters to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault in the fuse board.
The vehicle suffered 30 per cent damage by fire to the engine compartment and the remainder of the vehicle was damaged by smoke.
