A WOMAN has been freed from her car by fire crews after a crash at Waddock Cross.

Dorset Fire and Rescue received a call just after 3.00pm reporting a two car collision on the junction of the B3390 and Bovington Road.

Retained firefighters from Bere Regis, Wareham and Dorchester attended and found two private saloon vehicles in collision on the highway.

One woman was mechanically trapped in one of the vehicles with two other casualties walking wounded.

Fire crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the door of one of the cars and the female casualty got herself out under guidance of ambulance personnel.

Three casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance but is believed to be only for a check up.
