A DORSET-based communications company has launched a competition in a bid to boost fundraising ahead of an employee completing the London Marathon.

VOIP Unlimited, a telecommunications firm from East Dorset, is asking members of the public to guess the time marketing executive Aimee Looker will take to complete the gruelling 26.2 mile route.

Ms Looker is running the race in aid of Headsmart, VOIP’s nominated charity of the year, and the winner of competition will win a year’s supply of Dorset Tea.

She has already raised £1,241 of her £2,500 target, and Ms Looker said: “I’m training hard and hope to manage an 11-minute mile throughout the race, so those taking part in the competition can try to work out my time that way if they want to.

“Thanks to Dorset Tea for kindly donating such a generous prize. After running 26 miles I reckon all I’ll be thinking about is sitting down with a nice cup of tea myself.”

To enter the competition, you can place your guesses by donating £1 or more to Aimee’s fundraising page visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/aimeelooker92 or donate via Paypal by sending money to donations@voip-unlimited.net with your guess in the message field.
