SHOW how much you care this SUPPORTLAND Day.

The day of fun this Saturday (25) is to raise awareness of the work of the Portland Centre in Fortuneswell, which offers support, advice and information to people.

They offer confidential advice on everything from legal aid, housing issues, debt and getting help with benefits.

The fun starts at 10am at Tesco in Easton, there will be events throughout the day, starting at 10am with the IPACA early years group doing a sing-a-long, at 11am Balloonatic Kevin will be creating amazing characters out of balloons and at 12noon the Community Crooners will entertain the crowds. From 12.30pm there will be a fun photo booth where people will be able to use props like funny hats to dress up and take fun pictures. These will then be made into a montage of the community in the new Portland Centre, which will be opened on the same day.

The grand opening of the centre will be at 11am with a ribbon-cutting event.

Back at Tesco at 1pm there will be a dance display by IPACA students, followed by Platenham Dance at 2pm and a disco from 3pm-5pm.The day will culminate in a grand trolley dash. People will be able to enter the competition for just £1 to win the trolley dash at 4.30pm.

There will also be a raffle and face painting.
