A FISHING boat was towed to safety after it suffered mechanical failure.
The incident happened at around 8.20am on Saturday.
The Weymouth RNLI allweather lifeboat was launched to assist the eight-metre fishing vessel, Chanbilly.
The Chanbilly, with two people aboard was stranded by the West Shambles Buoy.
Once on scene the lifeboat crew attached a line and towed her back to Weymouth Harbour, arriving at approximately 10.25am. They her up at the waiting pontoon close to the Town Bridge.
Coastguards met the vessel and offered safety advised.
