BURTON Bradstock will once again host the Spring Tide Food Festival this month boasting an array of local food and talented producers.

The National Trust’s West Dorset branch will be hosting the festival at Hive Beach over the weekend of May 16 and May 17. The festival will run from 10am to 4pm amid the backdrop of Lyme Bay on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.

Organisers say the event offers lots to see and enjoy with a strong community emphasis and an opportunity to meet the local food producers on your doorstep.

Talking about this year’s festival, volunteer festival manager Caroline Richards said: "We'll be tempting visitors to experience a fusion of local seasonal foods from Dorset inspired Sushi to the indulgent naughty but nice sweet treats.”

With more than 50 stallholders attending, the event will bring together and showcase some of the best food and drink from across the county.

Last year’s festival saw more than 3,000 visitors over the course of the weekend and Caroline said it was the best one in the event’s five-year history.

She said in the early days the festival started with producers who were regulars at the Bridport Farmers’ Market.
