SHOPPERS in Weymouth will be helped to get in the mood for Eurovision when supermarket Morrisons plays a variety of hits in the store.

More than 50 tracks from previous winners, such as Making Your Mind Up by Bucks Fizz, Abba’s Waterloo and last year’s triumph Rise Like A Phoenix by Conchita Wurst, will be specially integrated into the store’s usual playlist tomorrow and Saturday.

The final of the competition is on Saturday evening.

The pop classics, which span the last six decades, will feature at all of Morrisons 504 supermarkets, following the 9,000 new songs that were added at the request of those working in store by CEO David Potts in March.

Rebecca Singleton, Central Retail Operations Director at Morrisons, said: "Over the past 60 years the Eurovision Song Contest has become a very British celebration - and we’re happy to mark that, for this big anniversary.

"Many of our customers will be stocking up for their Eurovision parties this week, so it stands to reason that we should play some classics from the competition and help them get in the right mindset."

The list of Eurovision hits being played in-store by Morrisons includes:
