POLICE are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a serious injury fail-to-stop collision.
At around 6.08am today, a road traffic collision took place in Springdale Road in Broadstone, outside Julia’s House Children’s Hospice, involving a vehicle and a bicycle.
The vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
The cyclist, a 58-year-old man from Corfe Mullen, sustained serious back, neck and arm injuries and was taken to Poole Hospital for treatment.
Police Constable Vivienne Bedford, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “I am investigating how this man sustained his injuries and would appeal to anyone who may have seen the collision or the cyclist prior to the incident to please call me on 101.
“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 27:42. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
