Only saint celebrated
A special event marking the day of St Wite, Dorset’s only saint, will take place at 10.30am on Sunday at St Candida and Holy Cross church, Whitchurch Canonicorum.
There will be talks on the effectiveness of the power of healing, what it was like to have been a medieval pilgrim, what a saint may mean these days and who might Wite have been. There will be hymns and a period of reflective silence.
