A LUCKY couple who enjoyed a street festival while visiting Weymouth have been announced as winners of a competition.
Yvonne and Raymond Dickason of Bristol were among the thousands enjoying Fayre in Square on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Weymouth and saw live music, stalls and displays around Hope Square and along the harbourside.
A prize draw in association with Bluebird Holidays was offered and open to those who picked up a programme.
Organisers said 10,000 programmes were distributed over the two days.
The winner of the competition, a weekend away in London for two including hotel accommodation and a show, was announced at the end of the event on Monday.
Organisers who contacted Mr and Mrs Dickason to tell them the good news spoke to their granddaughter Kelly Hickson who lives in Weymouth and was able to collect the prize on their behalf.
