STUDENTS at Westfield College celebrated their leavers’ prom at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.

Year 11 students enjoyed an evening of dancing and fun at their leavers’ party.

Family and friends gathered to see the students arrive in vehicles, including an army jeep, decorated in purple ribbons.

Mandy Gould is the Year 11 tutor. She said: “We are very proud. They have worked really hard this year.”

She thanked Charlbury Food and Wine in Preston for paying for the sailing academy and for paying for dinner for the students beforehand and thanked the staff at WPNSA, who she said were always ‘wonderful.’

Special thanks also go to staff, family and friends who helped to decorate the sailing academy, provided flowers, decorated the cars, DJ’d at the event and created balloon arches for decoration.
