IT'S a busy weekend in Dorset. If you're not going to the county's largest festival Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle, there's plenty of other entertainment on offer to keep you amused.

*FOODIES and art lovers will be flocking to the Dorset Food and Arts Festival in Queen Mother Square, Poundbury, tomorrow from 9am to 9pm.

The festival will be formally opened by television chef Lesley Waters, who has her own cookery school in Dorset, at 10am.

Other top local chefs demonstrating on the day include James Holding from The Pig on the Beach at Studland, Matt Budden from the Highcliff Grill at Bournemouth’s

Marriott Hotel and Brett Sutton from The White Post near Sherborne.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a whole host of stalls offering Dorset’s finest food and drink, while there will be live music throughout the day and a jazz concert in the evening.

The festival will again raise funds for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust and will also support Artstreach, Dorset Farmers Markets and the Steve Charles Help A Friend Fund.

*JOIN D’Artagnan, Athos, Porthos and Aramis in their adventure across 17th century France as the Three Musketeers perform at Corfe Castle tonight.

*WITH Dorset home to super-fiery chilli the Dorset Naga, find out if you can take the heat at the Great Dorset Chilli Festival.

Taking place at St Giles Park, Wimborne St Giles, from 10am to 5pm, this weekend is a 'chilli fiesta', with stalls selling all things chilli, from pepper plants to cayenne condiments and seeds to ceramics.

*WEST Bay Day takes place on Sunday, featuring live music, classic cars, a bouncy castle, a skate park, Jurassic candle lights on the pier and more.

The day, which has been organised by West Dorset District Council Chairman Gillian Summers, will raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) and the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.

On the seafront from 1pm there will be a display of classic cars and vintage motorbikes, a bouncy castle with slides, a surfboarding simulator and a mobile skate park and circus skills activities.

At about 9.15pm the pier will be lined with candles, which will be on sale during the day. If you buy a candle you will be invited to sign a memories book. The pier will then be opened for candlelit walks.

Live music and an outdoor bar provided by the Crown Inn will be on offer. Stands and stalls by local charities and community groups will also be on display.
