101 - Caller from Massachusetts to report an RTC in the USA. Unsure how they got Dorset. No connection to UK, to call USA police #YourView

The force has been using Twitter today to highlight every enquiry it receives as part of a campaign to promote different ways to get in touch.
And at 6.48pm it said: “101 – Caller from Massachusetts to report an RTC in the USA. Unsure how they got Dorset. No connection to UK, to call USA police.”
This prompted others to speculate on how the confusion may have arisen, with some savvy Twitter users pointing out that there is both a Dorchester and Wareham in Massachusetts.
