FIRE crews attended a house fire caused by an electrical unit in the early hours of this morning.
Crews from Maiden Newton and Dorchester were called to an address in Cerne Abbas at 4.44am on Tuesday.
The occupants called the fire service after leaving the property.
They were not injured.
A spokesman for Dorset Fire and Rescue said: "It was a house fire involving an electrical unit.
"We extinguished that with two breathing apparatuses and a CO2 fire extinguisher.
"We requested SSE come to assist us with isolation of the supply."
An SSE spokesman said: "We were contacted at 5.15am to isolate the electricity supply.
"Our engineers are still there as we need to make sure that it is safe before we can reconnect the supply.
"It is only the supply to this property that has been isolated.
"No other properties are affected."
