MISSING Weymouth man Peter Davidson is "safe and well" after being rescued 30 metres down a cliff by fire crews
Peter was spotted by a member of the public down a slope at Bowleaze Cove.
Fire crews were able to rescue him and he was taken to Dorset County Hospital.
A spokeswoman for the hospital confirmed that Peter had been admitted and said that he was "safe and well" after being checked over by hospital staff.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Fire and Rescue said: "We got a call at 6.23pm.
"They had one casualty, who was rescued approximately 30 metres down a cliff.
"The casualty was rescued and handed over to ambulance crews."
Police officers had earlier said that they were "very concerned" about Peter, who had been last seen on Thursday evening.
Extensive searches were carried out by rescue teams from Weymouth RNLI, assisting Dorset Police.
