WHERE can you find Sir David Attenborough, a giant flea and T-Rex under one roof?

At Weymouth's Sandworld of course, which is getting ready to open for the 2016 season.

Artists have been busy creating an extraordinary array of creatures for the new exhibition which can be seen when the attraction opens next weekend.

And families have the opportunity to purchase a season ticket to the attraction in an amazing deal thanks to a new token collect offer from your Dorset Echo and the team at Sandworld.

This year’s attraction pays tribute to the life and works of naturalist and TV presenter Sir David Attenborough.

He will be celebrating his 90th birthday this year and to pay homage to his work, which includes series on the life of mammals, birds, bugs as well as creatures of the deep seas and the frozen landscapes of Antarctica, the attraction at Lodmoor Country Park has created some very special sculptures.

These include a sculpture of the great man himself, the cartoon characters of the popular Madagascar films, a giant flea and a collection of dinosaurs representing the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site.

Sand sculptor Mark Anderson, said he was delighted by this year’s sculpture collection and said they couldn’t wait to open up to the public to experience.

He said: “We are really excited about the display. This is our sixth year. We have had sculptors come from as far afield as Canada, the US and Italy."

He added: “This year, we wanted to do something we have not done before, and build an entire show as a tribute to an incredible person, Sir David Attenborough, who celebrates his 90th birthday this year.

“This season’s sculptures are simply astonishing and have to be seen to be believed.”
