A BLAZE at a derilict house near Bere Regis has been tackled by crews from four fire stations.
The building on Moreton Drive was spotted by a walker along the Lawrence of Arabia Trail at 2.40pm.
Fire fighters from neighbouring Wareham and Dorchester were immediately despatched to tackle the blaze on a small lane between Throop and Turners Puddle.
A spokes person from Dorset Fire and Rescue said: "On the first call, we sent our one crew from Warham and one from Dorchester.
"Once they had arrived, they required a Land Rover from Bere Regis and a special off-road vehicle from Poole.
"They extinguished the blaze using one main line from the specialist vehicle.
"Around 50 per cent of the building was involved."
