A STRETCH of the A357 was closed this afternoon after a car collided with a telegraph pole.
Dorset Police were called to the scene, north of Blandford Forum, at 3.40pm.
A spokeswoman said that the vehicle involved in the incident was a blue Toyota Yaris registered to a woman from Blandford.
No one was injured.
An ambulance attended the scene, but was stood down by police.
The road was closed between the Holloway Lane junction in Shillingstone and the Milton Lane junction in Durweston as a result of the pole blocking the route.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said that two crews from Blandford had attended after a car hit a telegraph pole.
Crews removed the pole from the road and made the scene safe.
A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 3.40pm to a single vehicle road traffic collision near Enford Farm in Durweston.
"A telegraph pole is over the road."
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "It was a non-injury collision and we were stood down by police."
