FIVE people arrested after an alleged assault have been released on bail.
Dorset Police are continuing their enquiries into the incident in Bath Street at around 4am on Tuesday morning.
A 17-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted and suffered facial injuries. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening and he was taken to Dorset County Hospital.
The five, a 21-year-old man, 19-year-old woman and a 24-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of assault and an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, have all been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The five, all from Weymouth, are on bail until the end of September.
On Tuesday morning residents in Bath Street awoke to find the road cordoned off. Police officers, community support officers and Crime Scene Investigators were all on the scene as investigations were carried out.
The cordon was lifted at 1.57pm.
