TASTE your way around Dorset later this month for two weeks of flavours and food and supporting local produce for Dorset Food Fortnight.

Created to celebrate and explore the array of food and drink produced Dorset, the festival, starting on Saturday, October 22 and running until November 6, has extended its usual one week stint.

There will be a whole host of events happening over the fortnight all across the county. Everything from food tastings, demonstrations, meet the producers events and even a mini harvest festival at the Brace of Butchers, showcasing beef and beer will bring people together to celebrate food.

Organisers have guaranteed there is something for everyone, from visiting cider orchards to a cream tea on Golden Cap to a chocolate workshop at Chococo.

Children can spice up their education with a curry workshop with Sara Ali while families enjoy a sausage and mash week at Downhouse farm in Bridport.

Alongside Dorset Food Fortnight will be the ever popular Screenbites – an experience not be missed.

Heading towards Weymouth, festival supporters will be in for a treat as Dorset Food Fortnight falls within the FEAST festival.

FEAST is a 6 week event of special offers and menus in and around the town of Weymouth many of which specialise in local food and drink.

Dorset Food Fortnight aims to raise awareness of the growing number of local food and drink that is produced in Dorset and is organised by Dorset Food & Drink.
