THE Conservatives have comfortably held onto the Wey Valley seat in a Weymouth and Portland Borough Council by-election.
The seat became vacant after the resignation of Cllr Cory Russell, who had to step down due to work commitments.
The council announced this morning that Tony Ferrari had held the seat for the Conservatives with 475 votes following Thursday's by-election.
The results:
Tony Ferrari (Con) 475
Robert Vaughan (Lib Dem) 118
Grafton Straker (Labour) 96
James Askew (Green) 74
Turnout: 27.25 per cent
