TRAIN services have now returned to normal after passengers experienced delays this due to a broken down train.
The 12.05 London Waterloo to Weymouth Service broke down at Millbrook Hants, causing disruptions across the network.
Shortly afterwards, South West trains issued a statement saying the train reported a ‘loss of power’ and that the ‘crew are working hard rectify the issue’.
Trains ran at reduced speeds through the affected area while they were diverted on to a different line to by-pass the broken down train.
As a result, some services were delayed by approximately 15 minutes, while were diverted, or terminated and started back from different locations.
The disruption has now been cleared and services have returned to normal.
