Rescue cats and dogs are in need of forever homes.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue, which has two centres in Dorset, has given details of the three cats and three dogs currently looking for new owners.

Tom is a six-year-old cat described by the rescue staff as “sweet and affectionate” and could live with older children and possibly a quiet, cat-friendly dog.

Pinkie, seven, needs to be the only pet in an adult-only home. She is described as a “very smart girl” who enjoys getting treats via her activity feeders.

Five-year-old Rolo is looking for a forever home that has no other pets or small children. She is a “sweet girl” looking for a “fairly quiet home”.

Ernie, a rough-coated Lurcher, is between one and two-years-old. He is sociable with other dogs so would be able to live with a similar sized dog.

He can live with older children, too, but not with cats or small furry animals.

Minty, a five-year-old Saluki Cross, is a “happy chap who loves people and cuddles”. He would be happy to live with female dogs and older children but not cats or small furry animals.

Finally, Rayne, a female Pomeranian Cross, can be a little nervous of new people but once she gets to know someone, she has the “waggiest tail”.

She could live with another dog, possibly a cat and teenage children.
