YEAR 6 youngsters from Weymouth and Portland have been going to Weymouth College this week for a chance to solve a crime with the police.

PCs Geoff Calloway, Jeff Grey and Paul Holman have been helping Year 6 pupils to solve murder mysteries.

After answering questions PC Calloway agreed that children are very lucky to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience and says it brings up teamwork and friendship between the pupils as they go into their secondary schools next September.

PC Jeff Grey explained to the pupils about his job which includes decreasing the amount of bullying and insults in schools to make Weymouth a better place.

Police wannabe Daniel Vann, 11, says that he enjoys solving crimes and hopes that others will enjoy it as much as he did.
