A road has been partially blocked due to another fallen tree.

The B3082 Milldown Road has been partially blocked both ways near Jubilee Way in Blandford. 

A spokesman from Dorset Police said they received a call about the incident at 9.45am and contacted the local authority who are now dealing with the incident.

A lane has also been closed near Wool after a tree fell on utility lines.

The tree collapsed on Bindon Lane last night.

A spokesman from Dorset Police said they were called to the scene at 8.35pm after a tree fell on the utility lines and damaged the cables.

The lane has been closed both ways following the incident which took place between B3071 High Street and Holme Lane. 

The lane is expected to reopen later today. 

Another fallen tree forced the closure of a major road last night.

The A35 at Bloxworth was closed in both directions as a tree had fallen across the road following severe heavy rain.

Police were notified about the incident by Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue just before 10pm last night (Aug 2).

The road remained closed until 11.45pm and police were at the scene helping to direct traffic.

The local authority was made aware and came to remove the tree from the road.
