A man was airlifted to safety after getting stuck on a cliff in Swanage.
He was reported to have gotten stuck whilst climbing at Durlston Bay.
St Albans coastguard rescue team and the Lee-on-Solent coastguard helicopter were called to the scene.
Police were also called to provide support.
A spokesman for the UK Coastguard said: "We were called at 11.30am.
"The man had got stuck and he was in a place which was difficult to get to.
"The helicopter lifted him off the cliff when he was reunited with his friends."
It is the third rescue that the Lee-on-Solent rescue helicopter has been called to in Dorset in less than a week.
