The sun was shining on Brewery Square for this year’s Dorset Echo New Reg Exhibition.

Car traders from across the county came together yesterday to showcase their latest car models to the public, with some more enthusiastic visitors stepping inside the vehicles.

Morgan Smith, the motors advertiser from Dorset Echo - who helped organise the event, said the exhibition provided a great opportunity for dealers and customers alike.

She said: “It is a good opportunity for car dealers to meet new clients and show their new stock to the public. Car dealers get to speak with potential customers and trade contact details.

“We always have a great time organising the exhibition. There were eight different brands at the event. We have seen people getting really involved. There are cars worth £88,000 on show.”

Matthew Dennis from Lexus Poole, said the day has been a great opportunity to promote the brand.

He said: “It has been brilliant, events like this are fantastic. It gives us public exposure so we can show our new models to the public in a great setting. People can see the new cars and registration, there are a lot of deals to be had. The Lexus C500 is getting a lot of attention.

“I think it is good for people not only to get an idea of the cars we have but to get a feel for the brand. Today has helped us to get people looking at Lexus.”

The event started at 9am and finished at 5pm.

The new Registration number is 67 and will be in use from the first of September and will last for six months.
