Firefighters were called to a blaze which had spread across three acres of crops.
Crews from Bridport, Swanage, Beaminster and Maiden Newton were called to the area near Swyre Road in West Bexington just after 4pm yesterday.
The flames were extinguished using hose reel jets and beaters from three engines, as well as hoses from two Land Rovers.
