Police have asked drivers to look out for a 'suspicious' vehicle.
The car has been seen in Dorset's rural areas and is believed to be a dark gray or silver Peugeot 406 estate bearing the registration number **54 XVH or **02 ZRU.
The driver of the vehicle may have been involved in battery theft and the theft of a Land Rover and cattle trailer.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: “If this vehicle or other vehicles are seen acting suspiciously please gather as much information as possible such as the registration number and descriptions of the driver and any passengers and contact Dorset Police immediately.
"If the vehicle or occupants are seen committing a crime call 999 or call 101 if the vehicle is seen acting suspiciously.”
