A MARQUEE has been taken down at a popular event after Storm Aileen hit.
Organisers of the Purbeck Outdoor Weekend said the event's main large marquee took the full force of 70 mile an hour winds.
No one was hurt and the marquee has been taken down. The event is still going ahead.
Event organiser Jason Haiselden said: “It’s unfortunate, but it’s not a write off for the event. We have a full team in place that have responded very quickly. We always work closely with the council and all of the emergency services, including the coastguard and adhere to the highest health and safety standards, so it’s not anything we can’t handle.”
Participants and those hoping to attend should check the TPOW’s social media pages, for updates on timings for events and activities, including transport and weather protocol.
