A Dorset resident has been awarded an Emmy.
The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has given an Emmy Award to Geoff Eaton, who lives near Blandford.
Geoff has received the award for his part in the N.B.C. outside broadcast team covering the 2016 Rio Olympics, and is one of a handful of British sound engineers to win the award.
He has recently worked on successful films such as Fury starring Brad Pitt, Lost in London starring Woody Harrelson, and various BBC and ITV productions.
“It’s always exciting to work for a world class broadcaster like NBC,” said 58-year-old Geoff.
“Working with such a professional team really makes you ‘up your game’. But if that wasn’t enough, getting a pat on the back from the Academy is unbelievable."
