A lifeboat rescued a training ship which suffered damage to its propellor with 19 people on board.
Weymouth RNLI all-weather lifeboat launched at 2.15pm today after receiving a call from the UK Coastguard.
It was reported that the Sea Cadets training ship 'John Jerwood' was stranded with a damaged propellor seven miles east of Grove Point, Portland.
Once on scene, the lifeboat crew found that floating debris had wrapped itself around the propellor.
The ship was towed to Portland Marina, arriving at around 5pm.
Once it was safely berthed the lifeboat returned to station.
