AN INDEPENDENT feature film by director Rosita Clarke will be shown at Cerne Abbas Village Hall in Kettle Bridge Lane on Saturday at 2pm.
The Other Side of the Lake, shot entirely on location in Dorset, shows what happens when two centuries merge and collide.
An 18th century smuggling community inhabits the disturbed mind of an adolescent boy on holiday in Dorset in the present day.
Retired drama teacher Rosita Clarke, from Toller Porcorum, won the Best Director Award for The Other Side of the Lake at the Lady’s First International Film Festival in Cork and will take part in a Q&A session after the screening.
Judges were wowed by her psychological ghost story, which was filmed in Dorset locations including Burton Bradstock, Osmington Mills, Weymouth, Dorchester, Buckland Newton, Charminster, Hermitage, and Holnest.
Admission to the screening is free. Call 01300 345632 to book a place.
