Weymouth Carnival has launched a fundraising campaign to help make this year’s event another summer smasher.
Organisers are urging members of the public to donate as little as £1 to help support the two-day event.
The team are hoping to raise £10,000 to help cover the costs of putting on the carnival.
Stacey Andrews, Chairman of Weymouth Carnival, said: “The gofundme page has been set up to help us fund Weymouth Carnival. Like everyone else, we too have rising costs and with the things we have planned this year we are looking for a little help, so if anyone can donate, even £1, every little helps.”
Weymouth Carnival is a key date on the town’s summer calendar and helps attract thousands of visitors to the resort. This year it is from August 14-15.
