On behalf of the South West Dorset Talking Newspaper for the visually impaired, I would like to thank all of the organisations who have supported us this year.

In particular the Royal Manor Lodge, The Lions Club, The Mayor’s fund, the Lip reading club, the Wrens’ Association.

These are among our most recent donations, and of course we are very grateful for all of the individual donations which we have very kindly received.

In this, our 30th anniversary year, we are pleased to be able to support visually impaired people with a weekly edition of local news, and also a magazine.

We provide this free of charge, our charity is entirely voluntary, but we do have to pay for the equipment, and the running costs.

This is where the donations have meant that we can carry on providing this service.

So, thank you all of you. We are so very appreciative.

If you know anyone who would like to receive the talking newspaper, please let us know.

We can be contacted at swdtn@ btinternet.com or 01305783628.

And if you would like to join our team of volunteers, to be a reader, or help with the production and distribution of the magazine, please get in touch with Ann Sawtell on 01305782602.
