The A37 was closed for almost 10 hours after a lorry overturned in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to Long Ash Lane, near Maiden Newton, shortly before 1.30am today after a 26-tonne articulated lorry overturned, blocking the road.
The road was closed both ways between the Redhouse roundabout and Wiers roundabout.
Recovery took some time, due to the size of the lorry, and the road reopened shortly before 11.30am.
The driver of the lorry has been taken to Dorset County Hospital.
