COASTGUARDS were called to reports of a cliff fall on Easter Sunday.
The incident was believed to have taken place at Bowleaze Cove in Weymouth around 1.30pm.
Wyke Coastguard and Portland Bill Coastguard were alerted to the incident.
A spokesman for Wyke Coastguard said: “The team was paged along with Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team to reports of a cliff fall and possible person trapped.
“On arrival at Bowleaze Cove, having communicated with the first informant, we located the area in question.
“A tent was found pitched close to a recent landslip and this was confirmed as the correct location.
“The area and tent were both checked but after receiving further information it was declared that nobody was in danger.”
Both coastguard teams then stood down and returned to their stations.
