Dorset enjoyed its warmest day of the year yesterday – and temperatures are set to rise.
The sun came out yesterday and the arrival of the warm weather saw residents head outdoors to soak up the sunshine.
It sparked such excitement, the hashtag heatwave started trending on Twitter.
A stunning picture, taken by Sheila Hunn, shows yesterday's weather at Chesil Beach.
But today is set to be even warmer with temperatures rising above 20 degrees across the county including Weymouth, Portland and West Dorset.
Dorchester will get the higest tempertures which are set to reach a 22 degrees this afternoon.
With light winds it will feel warm in the sunshine today, but fresher towards the coasts where some low cloud is likely.
Temperatures will peak at around 2pm but will remain warm throughout the afternoon and evening.
The warm weather will be with us for a few days as tomorrow is set to be another beautiful day.
Temperatures will again be in the twenties for another sunny and very warm day for many.
The maximum temperature will be 22 degrees.
The warm snap comes just over four weeks after Dorset woke up to a blanket of snow on March 18.
