A road was partially blocked following a crash.
The A351 Sandford Road was blocked following a two-vehicle collision between Holton Heath and the Bakers Arms in Sandford.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said they were called at 3.11pm. South Western Ambulance was also requested.
Firefighters from Poole and Wareham freed two people from one of the cars involved in the crash.
The severity of any injuries is not yet known.
The road was closed by police but reopened at 4.55pm. It led to long delays with traffic back to south side of Wareham and on the Upton Bypass.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Trust said: "We were called to Holton Heath at 3.20pm after a traffic collision, patients were treated on scene, and then taken onto Poole hospital for further treatment."
