I have recently been to the Isle of Thanet to visit my mum.

I refuelled my car whilst there at a well known supermarket. 119p a litre.

I return home and find the same well known supermarket is selling the same fuel at 10p a litre dearer. How can this be?

In an area such as ours known for its economic and social problems, this supermarket figures its ok to charge every single customer a surcharge of 10p a litre for the fuel they sell us.

That’s a lot of 10ps at a very busy petrol station.

It’s the same company, same fuel. As other petrol stations charge similar prices, I can see them all sat round a table in a “smoke filled room” working out a price they think they can get away with.

Same company same fuel, different area, 10p a litre I say again 10p a litre difference in prices. I feel I am being robbed.
