A builders merchant left his hat on - and a little more - at an 'Almost Full Monty' fundraising night.

A ‘fearless five’ comprising of Telfer Jarman, friends and family members bared almost all at the Trinity Club in Dorchester to help raise £4,300 for the Roy Castle Cancer Foundation charity.

The ‘Almost Full Monty’ saw Telfer and the rest of the dance troupe strip down to their underwear - a family friendly version of the famous routine designed to spare the blushes of the children and the more faint hearted members of the audience.

Telfer, a yard and counter sales assistant at the Dorchester Gibbs & Dandy branch, said: “In 2017, eight of us took part in a similar event to raise money for my girlfriend’s father who was taking part in a marathon.

“This year, Martyn who was involved in the first event, wanted to perform a different routine for this charity. It’s one close to his heart as his aunt passed away from the disease even though she had never smoked.

“I am always happy to help out with fundraising so I decided to get involved. At the moment we have no plans to do a third performance, but never say never.”

Telfer’s fellow team members at the Dorchester branch also showed their support for the cause with fundraising contributions and attending the charity night.

Adam Nedahl, Gibbs & Dandy Dorchester branch manager said: “At Gibbs & Dandy, we’re always looking for ways to support our staff and great causes, whether that be for charity or the wider community.

“So what better way to for us to do this than spur on our very own Telfer to bare almost all for the Roy Castle Cancer Foundation.”

As well as Telfer’s headline performance, the charity night also featured a live band, disco and prize raffle.
