Mrs May and her Brexit team would be well advised to walk away from the 'negotiating' table right now and start fashioning the New Britain.
Otherwise we are going to finish up with a terribly bad deal and the public will be in torment. That will result in a General Election and the Conservative Party will be heavily defeated and will not regain power for several decades to come – if ever.
If, however, the Prime Minister continues with her departure 'negotiations', she will go down in history as the Chamberlain of the 21st century, as she waves in the air a copy of her diluted Chequers White Paper agreement.
It is pretty obvious that any promises made by the EU on our future will be as worthless as Mr Chamberlain’s 'Peace in our time' paper.
