Police have issued a warning after a report that a dog bit a member of the public during the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Agricultural Show.
Police said a search was carried out at the north Dorset show on Wednesday but the dog and owner could not be located.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We would like to remind all dog owners that they are responsible for their dogs and should be mindful of keeping them under control across the county's summer events and when out in public."
Dog on human bites should be reported to police via 101 or online at www.dorset.police.uk/contact-us
Concerns over dangerous dogs, dog fouling or stray or lost dogs should be reported to the relevant council at dorsetforyou.gov.uk
