I have to agree with Pam Dickinson (This is why we need new road, Letters, September 14).
She has it absolutely right when she refers to All the people stopped from Warmwell roundabout to Littlemoor lights and Winterborne Monkton to Littlemoor lights'.
She has finally seen that the problem is caused by Littlemoor lights. Get rid of those by spending a few thousand pounds on a roundabout.
Then spend a few more thousand pounds subsidising a reliable and accessible public transport system to physically reduce the amount of traffic.
This will help our environment, save the destruction of countryside and make life a little more pleasant for those who choose to live alongside the main road into the town.
