Poverty and homelessness is something that we tackle as a county.

The fish and chip shop, The Codfathers, on Buxton road in Wyke donated thirty portions of sausage and chips to people who rely on food banks.

This is an excellent scheme as we must help other people, particularly those in poverty.

This is not the first time that hot meals have been distributed to the homeless in this county, but this act of kindness must be continued.

Everyone should be treated equally, and with respect. Why should people in poverty have less rights than other people?

We all need to support each other rather than being enticed to follow greed’s path.

A generous act like this promotes happiness – something money can’t buy.

Governments and councils can only help a certain amount, so it is up to communities to help others.

Young infants battle the elements and neglect to survive in insufferable conditions in order to survive, so acts like this are the most valuable thing that people can do to help others.

Affluence should be shared because in we should not still be tackling poverty in twenty-first-century Britain; we cannot accept to live in a damaged community where there is not much improvement from the Victorian Era.

Help your neighbours to ensure a better society.
