THE day that we have all been waiting for has arrived - the day when the bus fares increase yet again.

The services provided are of a poor standard: continuously waiting for the next bus to come, when it was allegedly eight minutes away for the past half an hour.

There is a limited disabled access and there is not enough seating for commuters, just to name a few of the problems that paying passengers face.

Already, the bus fares are at an extortionate price where it is probably cheaper to use a taxi.

Many Weymouth weekly and monthly ticket prices have increased, but the reason why is not clear.

Currently, the cost of a ticket between Weymouth, the King’s Statue and Dorchester, Mansell Square is £3 for an adult, the same price as it is to do the one stop between Elwell Street and Tesco.

Therefore, instead of increasing prices, they must reduce the confusion on prices and where each bus stops, reduce the prices to match the quality of the services provided, and make sure that all the bus time displays actually function, displaying the correct information.
