THE Framptons of Jestys Avenue, Weymouth scooped Family of the Year.
Announcing the winner, Mr Kinvig said: "This family have been described in their nomination as one in a million.
"Despite mum Bev suffering from MS and recently having to give up work, their home is still open to others in need.
"The children are described as fantastic and a joy to be around, their nomination said in spite of their circumstances they always put a smile on your face."
The family was up against tough competition from the Langley-Taylors of Chickerell Road for the title.
Dad Andrew Frampton said: "We've been nominated and honoured for the award for just being ourselves I think. I'm very pleased and can't wait to tell the wife and children. It's been a fantastic night, I thoroughly enjoyed it."
All winners of the People Awards received a bottle of bubbly, £200 cheque and certificate, while nominees received a certificate and goodybag.
