STAFF at a drop-in centre for youngsters in Bridport are celebrating after receiving a £10,000 cash injection.
The Millennium Young People's Advice and Information Centre, in North Street, was given the grant by the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales.
It will go towards the cost of a youth worker and running costs at the centre, which was nearly forced to close last year.
The centre, known as The Mill, provides a relaxed environment for youngsters between 11 and 25.
They can access resources like Connexions, the Dorset Drugs and Alcohol Advisory Service, Relate and LINX or simply play pool and hang out with friends.
Chairman Graham Purse said: "Each year we have to find an additional £20,000 over and above our statut-ory funding.
"This grant will make a significant difference and will mean that we can continue to greet everyone with a big Mill smile."
The Mill is currently looking for volunteers. Anyone interested should call 01308 423090.
